    Hi,

Firstly thanks for the great Site/ial!

Currently i’m trying to downloand Sap Hana Studio from the link provided. when redirecting to page it is asking for Sap Market Place login details. However it requires a “customer or Installation number” where can I get this from? or is there somewhere else I can download Sap Hana studio?

    Regards

    Alf

      Hi Alf,
SAP Service Market Place requires a registration and you will have to pay for that. However HANA studio is also available for free.
      See the article: http://saphanatutorial.com/sap-hana-studio-download/

    Hi,

How do I retrieve the url/servername that I have to enter in the java programme of the twitter analytics.

    • Admin says:

The url is constructed as jdbc:sap://<hana_host_id>:3<instance_no>15/
Open the web editor tool and you will see the host id on the right corner. For example in below image it is “lddbjul”

HANA Cloud System - Host id

  9. Sadiq says:

For those using the HANA Cloud Trial, the landscape host should be set to: hanatrial.ondemand.com

The Account Name is the Account ID as displayed in the dashboard section of the HANA Cloud Platform.

For SAP employees, you would use your GLOBAL username and password as your credentials.

The images in this post were not coming through for me so hopefully this will help someone.

    HI,

I cannot open the administration editor and I am unable to see all services related to cloud system added.

  14. Lee says:

Step 4 screenshot should have SYSTEM user + password in it.

    • Admin says:

      Hello,

Please, explain us a little further, share with us the screenshot where you faced the issue at “admin@saphanatutorial.com”.

      Thanks,
      Admin

      • Lee says:

        Hi Admin,

I can’t remember what the issue was now, sorry. I THINK the screenshot I mentioned is the one shown in your step 4 – the screenshot and the description did not make it clear to me that SYSTEM user + password needed to be added to my screen’s fields, but I needed to populate them when I performed the step.

I’ve now moved onto the SAP Hana Cloud Connector setup tutorial and I am having many problems with that!

10 mins, 15 mins, etc are quoted for these tutorials, etc. Those times might be true for YOU!

        KR,

        Lee.

    Hi Admin,

When i clicked on ‘SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench’ after creating the database in the trail instance, it is asking for system user id and password. I have provided the user id which is generated automatically(P194216**23) and the password which i have given while creating the database, but it says login failed. Could you please let me know which user id and password should i give to LOGON to the database.

    Thanks in advance.

    Vishal

    • Admin says:

      Hello,

Try “system” as user id and password is the one you have set while creating the database.
If the issue still exists, you might email us with steps and screenshots at “admin@saphanatutorial.com” .

      Thanks,
      Admin

    Hello Admin,

On the third step where we define the Account Information, I’m getting the error message below:

    “Login failed. Contact your administrator.”

In the Account Name I provided my HANA trial ID (trial), and my S-User ID in the User Name. What am I missing here? Who is the administrator that I should contact?

    Thank you in advance.

    Fadhlul

in step one, you should write

    1) window -> preferences (not windows -> preferences)

I thought this was about general windows OS settings.
