SAP Web IDE is now available on Cloud, based on Eclipse Che
SAP SE announced that SAP HANA Cloud users would have the privilege of using SAP Web IDE on the cloud itself. The Web IDE is based on Eclipse Che ecosystem, this would be the first open source popular IDE with portable development workspace integrated with cloud. Using the concept of portable workspace a development environment could be configured on demand which will support a development process part of agile methodology.
The SAP Web IDE is integrated to SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit, thus it could support web application design and UI designs on HANA using UI Development Toolkit for HTML5 (SAPUI5) and Node.js .

How to access the Web IDE from SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit?

You should have an SAP HANA Cloud account. It could be developer's trial account.
1) Click on the "Subscriptions" from the left side menu.
1) Click on the "webide" link under subscribed HTML5 applications.
3) On the new screen, click on application url as shown in the following image.
The next screen SAP Web IDE dashboard might take some time to appear, especially for developer trial account.
4) Now, you can start creating projects. Sample templates for projects are provided. You can choose from them and modify as per your requirement.
Already offered one of the Fiori apps , which is imported into SAP Web IDE and is run, find the result screen as shown in the following image.
SAP Web IDE on the cloud would reduce so much of time and resources spent on installation and configuration of development environment. Just, create a new workspace and assign to the team of developers, in a moment the development environment would be ready for work.
